Creating Healthier Schools and Safer Communities Through Clean Water, Sanitation and Hygiene
Every child deserves access to clean water, proper hygiene, and a safe learning environment. Yet many children and families in disadvantaged schools and underserved communities face limited access to safe drinking water and basic hygiene facilities.
Education And Life Foundation addresses these challenges through its Clean Schools, Healthy Futures, WASH Improvement Project, focusing on practical solutions where the need is greatest.
THE CHALLENGE
In many poor and underserved communities, families may depend on unsafe or distant water sources, while schools may lack adequate drinking water and hygiene facilities. Poor WASH conditions can increase health risks and make it more difficult for children to attend school regularly, concentrate, and learn effectively.
This is not only a water problem, it’s a challenge of health, education, dignity, and opportunity.
OUR RESPONSE
WASH AWARENESS IN SCHOOLS
Education And Life Foundation conducts awareness sessions for students and teachers on safe drinking water, handwashing, personal hygiene, sanitation, disease prevention, safe water storage, and environmental cleanliness. We help children develop healthy habits that they can take from school into their homes and communities.
WATER FILTERS WHERE THEY ARE NEEDED MOST
Education And Life Foundation provides water filtration systems to schools and vulnerable communities according to assessed needs and available resources, helping improve access to safer drinking water and healthier learning environments.
HAND PUMPS IN UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES
In slum and underserved areas where access to water is a major challenge, Education and Life Foundation installs hand pumps at locations with significant unmet needs, providing communities with a more accessible local water source for children and families.
